Octavian, Silver Denarius with an escutcheon of theOctavian, Silver Denarius. Minted at Brundisium or Rome (?), struck c. 29 27 B. C. Laureate head facing right, rev. IMP CAESAR, figure (Octavian?), wearing a cloak and holding a spear and a parazonium, set on top of a rostral column decorated with two anchors, 3. 86g., 10h (RIC 271; BMC 633; C 124). In an excellent state of preservation for this issue, well centred and struck, iridescent toning, about extremely fine.
