GERMAN BAVARIAN GENERAL’S HAT Iron Cross 2nd class ribbonA rare piece of headdress is the 1838 Bavarian Generals' bicorne headdress, constructed in a basic felt material, with its inner sweatband and brushed cotton lining, which is slightly shredded. Rubbed corners with the lacework insignia of a Bavarian General. It is the original box, which has suffered badly; the sides of the lid are mostly missing, with an old paper label reading MUNICH CENTRAL RAILWAY STATION (in German). Ref; 96553
